Gonorrhoea :
Gonorrhoea is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections. It is a bacteria that can affect sexually active people of any age. The infection can also be passed onto baby at birth. The infection is transmitted via contact with the semen or vaginal fluid of an infected person. Gonorrhoea doesn't always cause symptoms, but it can cause a discharge from the penis or vagina. Some individuals also experience pain when urinating or during intercourse. The infection can also affect the throat, causing soreness, itchiness and trouble swallowing. When this infection affects the anus, it is known to cause discharge, itching and pain when passing stools. The condition can be diagnosed with a physical exam, urine test or swab test of the discharge from the throat, genitals or anus. It can be treated with an antibiotic injection or oral medications.
