Giddiness :
Giddiness can be called dizziness, which is described as a feeling of unsteadiness, lightheadedness, or fainting. Giddiness is a symptom of underlying diseases, and it is not a disease condition. The giddiness will be caused due to neurological reasons such as stroke, cardiac problems like poor blood circulation to the brain, dehydration, multiple sclerosis, anemia, depression, anxiety, inner ear problems, and low levels of blood sugar. The feeling of giddiness will be seen as fainting, disorientation, loss of balance, loss of consciousness for some time, and a pinning sensation. The management advised for giddiness will be taking rest by sitting or lying down, sudden changes in posture, avoiding sudden movements like standing up quickly, identifying the triggers and controlling those, and being hydrated by having lots of water and fluids. When this giddiness remains persistent and severe, it is also seen with other symptoms like hindering regular activities, chest pain, headache, and one should consult a doctor for the diagnosis and management.
