Gallbladder Cancer :
Gallbladder Cancer is cancer of the gallbladder. In this condition, cancer cells grow rapidly, which affects the function of the gallbladder. It has fluid that helps in the digestion of food. Risk factors that increase the chances of gallbladder cancer are having a family history of gallstones and polyps in the gallbladder, and other possible factors are smoking, exposure to chemicals from industries and obesity, which results in gallbladder cancer. Symptoms of this cancer are abdominal bloating with the growth of a lump, weight loss, right sided abdominal pain and other related symptoms. This type of cancer is evaluated and treated by the surgical oncologist and gastroenterologist surgeon and diagnosed with imaging tests like CT and MRI scans of the stomach to assess the extent of the lump and blood work for abnormal blood counts. Treatment of this type of cancer is treated with a combination of chemotherapy, radiation therapy and immunotherapy.
