Folliculitis :
Folliculitis is a skin issue which occurs due to infected hair follicles and affects on the face, arms, upper back and lower legs. Folliculitis is categorized into several types such as Staphylococcus aureus folliculitis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa folliculitis, Malassezia folliculitis, Sycosis barbae, Pseudofolliculitis barbae, boils, carbuncles, eosinophilic folliculitis and gram negative folliculitis. The significant signs induced by folliculitis include pustules or red bumps which looks like pimples on the skin or white filled bumps along with itching and discomfort. The management of folliculitis can be done using various options such as using anti itch creams, by applying warm towels to the irritated skin as it soothens the discomfort and by using antibacterial cleansers to clean the skin which can limit the amount of bacteria on the skin. To prevent this condition, the measures to be taken are : keeping the skin clean, limiting shaving and wearing breathable clothing which keeps the sweat from getting trapped between the skin and clothes.
