Diabetes Insipidus :

Diabetes insipidus is a rare condition in which the body is unable to retain water and produces too much urine. It is mainly caused either by the inadequate production of antidiuretic hormone called vasopressin or due to the improper usage of vasopressin by kidneys. Types of diabetes insipidus include central diabetes insipidus, nephrogenic diabetes insipidus, Dispogenic diabetes insipidus, and gestational diabetes insipidus. Symptoms include peeing frequently, passing large amounts of clear urine, feeling thirsty, and drinking fluids often. It may cause damage to the hypothalamus or pituitary gland during surgery or in a head injury, basal skull fractures, inflammation due to sarcoidosis, tuberculosis, tumors that affect the hypothalamus or pituitary gland, damage to the cells that make an antidiuretic hormone and due to gene mutation on chromosome 20, hypokalemia, hypercalcemia, a blocked urinary tract and chronic kidney disease.
