Club foot :
Clubfoot, also known as Congenital Talipes Equinovarus is a deformity present at birth in which infant's foot turn inward with bottom of foot often faces up or sideways. It affects 1-2 new-borns per 1000 and most commonly seen in males. It is caused due to genetical and environmental changes. Smoking and alcohol during pregnancy may raise the risk of clubfoot defect. Types of clubfoot are isolated or idiopathic clubfoot ( most common type) where child has no medical issues and non-isolated clubfoot where child has health conditions like joint problems and neural tube disorders. Symptoms are kidney shape foot, smaller calf muscles in affected leg, shorter foot, ankle stiffness. If untreated, it can lead to walking problems, foot infections, calluses and arthritis.
