Cholecystitis :
Cholecystitis is an inflammation of a small bag of the body that stores bile, which is a fluid with many uses by the liver to dissolve fats between meals. When the gallbladder is inflamed, tremendous pain sets in the right upper quadrant or middle of the abdomen. Other symptoms include nausea and vomiting, chills, and yellowing of the skin. Most patients suffering from cholecystitis suffer gallstones, hardened bile deposits formed within the gallbladder. Treatment at diagnosis is medication to calm the patient down and stop the pain and inflammation and when it is more serious, surgical removal of the gallbladder is advised which is known as cholecystectomy and performed by surgeons.
