Child Birth :
Childbirth is also known as delivery. It is a process by which a baby is born. It normally occurs between 37 and 42 weeks of pregnancy. Labor has three stages. In the first, the onset labor begins with contractions that dilate the cervix, the second stage is when the baby will be delivered and the third stage is the delivery of the placenta, which nurtures the fetus throughout complete pregnancy period. Labor also can start with mild contractions and then become stronger or more frequent after some time. The amniotic fluid can leak out as the water breaks in a pregnant woman. Once the cervix has fully dilated, the mother will begin slowly pushing to deliver the baby. The placenta is delivered immediately after the delivery of the baby. Childbirth may be via vaginal delivery or cesarean section depending on conditions of the mother and the child. For pain management during labor there are many options like breathing techniques, medication, and one type of epidural which is a procedure that involves injecting a numbing medication into the epidural space in the lower back to block pain signals from the spinal cord to the brain to reduce the pain.
