Breast Pain :
Breast pain, or mastalgia, may be the most common complaint of females. Mastalgia is classified into two forms, namely cyclical and non-cyclical. Cyclical mastalgia refers to pain in the breast falling in sync with the menstrual cycle and starts at or about the onset of menses. It is often bilateral but often comes at different times and do not stay for long. Non-cyclical mastalgia due to trauma and infection, mastitis, larger breast sizes and other causes, for example, fibrocystic changes of the breasts. Pain, tenderness or aching with a pain that usually radiates to the left shoulder through the parasternal or corresponding lymph nodes, with the stinging or throbbing sensation. A doctor may have to examine you out of consideration of excluding certain causes of the condition, such as cancer, infections if it persists for long or for no apparent reason. Among the popular treatments, some vary depending on the cause, but include wearing supportive bras and over the counter medications such as pain relievers, or applying heat or cold compresses
