Ovarian Cancer :
Ovarian cancers are those that develop within the ovaries. Ovaries are those body parts of female reproduction that produce eggs and secretion of hormones. The medical cause of ovarian cancer has not yet been discovered, although the consequences associated with it have been attributed to genetic mutations and even factors like age, family history, and some types of medical conditions. Such common symptoms may include distention in the abdomen, pelvic pain, distaste for food intake, an easy feeling of fullness, or frequent urination and urgency. Diagnosis would be supported by imaging tests, including CT scans and ultrasound, and biopsy confirmation of the presence of cancer cells. However, treatment would depend upon the advancement of the cancer and was generally surgery with or without chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Targeted therapies might sometimes be utilized as well. Benefits in the outcome are undoubtedly seen with early diagnosis, thus regular follow-up visits and screenings are important for women at risk.
