Heart Stroke :
The term "heart stroke" is sometimes used in everyday language to describe a heart attack. During a heart attack, the blood vessels in the heart become narrow, causing the muscles in the heart to stop working correctly. It causes symptoms like chest pain, throat discomfort, sweating, nausea and dizziness.
Heart attacks usually occur because of a build-up of fat in the blood vessels present in the heart muscle. These vessels provide the muscle with the oxygenated blood it needs to function. If the blood supply is not restored in time, the heart muscle dies, which can permanently damage the heart or even cause death.
Immediate medical attention is necessary when an individual experiences a heart attack. The individual can be stabilized by giving them supplementary oxygen and medications such as blood thinners. Later, surgery may be performed to clear any blockages in the heart.
