Seizures :
A rapid upsurge in the brain's electrical activity in a short period is called a seizure. Seizures usually happen unexpectedly and cause changes in movements, feelings, behavior, and consciousness. This condition may be caused by a brain tumor, stroke, flashing lights, medications, and hormone changes, among other reasons. It usually lasts between 30 seconds and two minutes. The exact cause behind seizures can be determined with a neurological exam. Tests like EEG, CT, and MRI scans allow doctors to find any problems in the brain. Treatment can range from medication to brain and nerve stimulation. In some cases, surgery can solve the problem.
