Genesis Hospital was thus, born on February 14th, 2004 from his envisioned dream and aspiration, with 30 beds and four state of the art operation-theatres. The success of the hospital was inevitable and instantaneous. Patients from all over Kolkata, the suburbs of West Bengal along with the adjoining states got admitted for treatment in an environment of unswerving trust and openness found in this hospital. Since its inception, the hospital has expanded from 30 beds to 85 beds with the inclusion of a 10 bed ICCU / ITU with modern ventilators and other essential facilities. Over the last ten years, the hospital has grown in leaps and bounds, be it in its infrastructure or its popularity in having treated more than 45,000 in-patients. What started as a success story of a hospital offering gastrointestinal treatment by means of laparoscopic and general surgeries, gradually evolved into other areas of medicinal and surgical specialities in Urology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Paediatric, Neonatology, Medicine and Cardiology, Oral & Maxillofacial surgery, ENT, Dental surgery & Oncology,COVID-19 (RT PCR) Tests are done , post covid detailing and patient management and medicine management. Many leading and successful consultants of the day in these specialities joined the team of doctors in Genesis Hospital and offered treatments at affordable cost. The hospital has a thriving OPD for gastro-intestinal consultations which gradually evolved into all the other specialities as mentioned above. The OPD is actively supported by an in-house Pharmacy and diagnostic facilities that covers Pathology, X-Ray, USG, ECG, Echo-cardiography and Colour Doppler studies. The entire hospital is air-conditioned, all the rooms are well lit throughout the day. Patients can view televisions from all categories of beds and have all the required services including the homely environment with good food, sisters attending to the patients needs as and when required equally, irrespective of the bed categories. There is no discrimination made in treating the patients of the different categories.
