Neuro Physiotherapist :
A Neurophysiotherapist is a certified healthcare provider with dual specialization in the departments of Physiotherapy and Neuro Physiotherapy. Neurophysiotherapists primarily focus on improving daily physical movement and mobility, which are compromised due to diseases affecting the nervous system. Some of such common conditions include ataxia, Parkinson's disease, paralysis, traumatic injuries to the brain and spinal cord, and muscle weakness due to tremors. Neuro physiotherapists have academic qualifications of BPT (Bachelor in Physiotherapy), MPT, and fellowship training in Neuro Physiotherapy. They specialize in positively reinforcing the new connections between the brain and affected muscle groups to restore normal function, movement, and coordination. They provide in-clinic therapy sessions along with a home gym or exercise regimen. They customize the therapy sessions to the required goal setting and provide continuous monitoring. They assess the improvement with each session and make necessary adjustments to the existing regimen.
