Thyroid Cancer :
Thyroid cancer is referred to as the cancer that affects the thyroid glands that are present in the neck region. There are different types of thyroid cancers, which include papillary, follicular, medullary, and anaplastic. The symptoms that will be observed in case of thyroid cancer will be a mass or lump in the neck, throat pain, nausea & vomiting, hoarseness of voice, neck pain, fatigue, lack of hunger, and sudden weight loss. Thyroid cancer will be detected through the diagnostic tests, which include a PET scan, biopsy, CT scan, genetic testing, radioiodine scan, blood tests, and an ultrasound scan. The management for thyroid cancer will be through surgical treatment, such as partial or complete thyroid gland removal. Thyroid hormone therapy is indicated for the replacement of thyroid hormones. Treatment of advanced thyroid cancer will be through radiation therapy, targeted drug therapy, chemotherapy, and destruction of cancerous cells with the use of cold and heat.
