Red eye :
Red eye is an eye condition that can affect the eyes, leading to reddishness, irritation, and bloodshot eyes. The blood vessels that are there under the surface of the eye will be inflamed, thus causing red eye. The symptoms that are observed in red eye will be seen in one or both eyes, such as pain in the eye, itching in the eye, discharge from the eyes, swollen eyes, and blurred vision. The red eye will be caused due to many reasons, such as blepharitis, allergies, pink eye, dry eyes, injury to the eyes, and glaucoma. The treatment advised for red eye will be through having rest, washing eyelids gently, massaging eyelids, eye drops, and cool compresses on closed eyes. The prevention of red eye will be done by following a few measures, such as frequent hand washing, avoiding rubbing of eyes, avoiding irritants that cause irritation, keeping contact lenses clean, and taking frequent breaks while working on the computer screen.
