Pulmonary hypertension :
Pulmonary hypertension is an increased pressure of blood flow through the pulmonary artery that stretches the heart to pump blood to circulate through the lungs. It aggravates symptoms like a difficulty in breathing, chest pains, dizziness, and exhaustion. This primarily originates from heart diseases, lung diseases, or chronic blood clots. If not cured it causes heart failure. In fact, some of the investigations that would be involved include an echocardiogram, chest X-rays etc., and almost impossible to do without heart catheterization. Certain aggressive drugs might be used to have them administered in an attempt to open up blood vessels. Oxygen may be needed. Only surgery could be the solution for severe conditions. Accurate management of the condition with proper treatment of this patient, basically lies in early diagnosis.
