Colonic Stenting :

Colonic stenting is the endoscopic surgical procedure in which a self expandable metal stent is inserted in the colon. It is the most suitable option of palliative type of treatment in cases with large bowel obstructions and colorectal cancers. Placement of colonic stent is challenging due to underlying structures and anatomy. It is performed by highly experienced gastroenterology surgeons with advanced scope placement techniques aided by fluoroscopy.
