Black Eye :
A black eye is the formation of bruising caused by trauma or injury to the face or head. These bruises will be observed on the lower and upper eyelids of the eye, which will be purple, bluish, or black in color. The other causes for the formation of a black eye will be hitting a ball on the eye, being punched in the face by someone, hitting the face on the ground due to a fall, or any other accident. The symptoms that will be observed in a black eye will be pain in the area and discoloration of the skin. In some cases, swelling is seen around the eye, there is a black eye appearance in jaw surgery, nose surgery, or face lift surgery, or the removal of wisdom teeth. The diagnosis of a black eye will be based on the visual examination, and there are other tests to check the condition of the eye, which will include imaging tests like X-ray and CT scan. A black eye will be treated by the application of cold compresses, which will reduce the bleeding and swelling.
