Stomach Cancer :
Stomach cancer, also known as gastric cancer, begins in the stomach's inner lining. It is mostly seen in males between 60 to 70 years of age. It is mostly caused by helicobacter pylori infection, gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastritis, family history of stomach cancer, epstein barr virus infection, history stomach ulcers, a diet high in fatty, smoked, salty and pickled foods, diet that doesn't include fruits and vegetables, frequent exposure to substances like coal, metal and rubber, smoking, vaping and chewing tobacco, drinking too much alcohol, obesity and autoimmune atrophic gastritis. Symptoms include loss of appetite, trouble swallowing, fatigue, weakness, nausea and vomiting, unexplained weight loss, heartburn, indigestion, black stool, vomiting blood, feeling bloated and gassy after eating, feeling full after having a small meal and stomach pain. Diagnosis is made by upper endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, radiologic tests like CT scan, MRI, PET scan, blood tests and laparoscopy.
