Sexologist :
A sexologist is a specialist who specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of sexual problems in males and females. A sexologist is qualified with a graduation in MBBS, followed by a post-graduation in MS, General Surgery. Further, they will be trained with MCh or DNB in the field of Urology. They will be highly trained in providing treatment of urological problems and sexual problems such as sexual dysfunctions, low libido, erectile dysfunction, difficulty with orgasm, pain during sexual intercourse, and premature ejaculation. Sexologists will provide counselling for relationship problems and clear communication problems between couples. When there are problems in men, such as difficulty with orgasm, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, in women, issues such as pain during sexual intercourse, low libido, dryness in the vagina, one should consult a sexologist for the diagnosis of the underlying cause and for proper management. When there are problems such as communication problems, mismatched interests, emotional disconnection, reduced desires, depression, stress, anxiety, or traumatic experiences in the sexual life previously, one should consult a sexologist for counselling and treatment.
