Heart Burn :
Symptoms might increase especially after intake of food, bending forward or even lying down. There are several causes for heart burn including smoking, consumption of alcohol, overconsumption of caffeine, some foods containing citrus or even an underlying gastric disease might also lead to heart burn. Generally it is diagnosed by endoscopy and treatment includes life style modification. Antacids might help in minimizing the symptoms of heart burn. Over eating should be reduced and frequent intervals should be maintained between the meals. If the symptoms are not relieved by antacids the help of a medical professional needs to be taken and underlying disease needs to be ruled out, if any.
