Warts in Adults :
Painful, the plantar wart typically presents on the sole surface of the feet. Small lesions with a smooth surface characterize the flat wart. Although warts are not typically harmful, they can be annoying or cosmetically unappealing, which is a reason for a patient to seek their treatment. Various treatments may be necessary like topical treatments with salicylic acid, cryotherapy (freezing), laser treatment, or even removal of large or persistent warts surgically. Some patients find that home remedies such as duct tape occlusion are helpful, although outcome is somewhat variable. Keeping your skin clean and avoiding the sharing of personal items can be very effective in preventing warts.
