Sunken Eyes :
Enophthalmos, also known as sunken eyes, is a condition where the skin under the eyes becomes hollow and dark. It occurs due to aging, dramatic weight, genetics, lack of sleep, dehydration, sun exposure, allergies, sinus infections, smoking and fractures in the bone that surround the eyes, fat tissue reduction, muscle weakening, vascular problems, radiation therapy, scleroderma and certain medications that treat glaucoma. Symptoms include double vision, difficulty focusing, sagging upper eyelids, asymmetry of facial features, deep groove in your eyelid, and eye dryness. Drinking sufficient water, eating leafy vegetables, and avoiding too much caffeine can help ease sunken eyes. Various cosmetic procedures such as eyelid lifts, upper and lower eyelid lifts, fat grafting, and fillers are available for sunken eyes.
