What is Rhinorrhea ?
Rhinorrhea, also known as runny nose is having fluid coming out of the nose, occurs due to cold air, allergy, common flu and on eating spicy goods. It involves irritation and swelling inside the nose. Symptoms include stuffy nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, postnasal drip, sore throat, cough and watery eyes. Allergies from dust, viral infections and covid 19 are the most common causes. Breathing a virus irritates the lining of nose and makes a mucous. Shedding tears, sinusitis, nasal polyps, nasal foreign body, nonallergic rhinitis, gustatory rhinitis, pregnancy rhinitis,certain medications like birth control pills, blood pressure medications, antidepressants and opioid withdrawal are some of the other causes.
