Parkinson disease :
Symptoms usually begin insidiously and could be characterized by tremors, stiffness or bradykinesia, and postural instability in advanced stages of the disease. Balance problems, coordination abnormalities, and difficulties with activity that leads to the beginning of living problems may characterize advanced stages of the disease. Parkinson's disease is not curable at present but the control of symptoms is what treatment is focused on. Levodopa and its derivatives, together with dopamine agonists, have been of tremendous benefit in controlling symptoms ranging from a contribution to motor function improvement to diminished tremors. Surgery may be necessary for optimum mobilization and strength as well as to facilitate daily living activities and this usually involves deep brain stimulation. A neurophysician should be consulted for the better outcomes of patients suffering with Parkinson's disease.
