Meningitis :
The diagnosis will be done by physical examination, review of symptoms, plus conducting tests that include lumbar puncture (spinal tap) that observes the cerebrospinal fluid regarding infection. Blood tests and any imaging study is done like CT or MRI scans. Treatment varies with etiology. The most usual treatment for bacterial meningitis is the immediate treatment with antibiotics, while in viral meningitis, it may improve spontaneously along with supportive treatments. Vaccination is covered against some forms of bacterial meningitis, and vaccination is exceptional among preventive measures. It also must be maintained closely by doctors to assess recovery and treatments of complications developed due to infection.
