Hair fall is also called alopecia, which is described as a loss of hair from the scalp and other parts of the body. The causes of hair loss can be age, heredity, hormonal changes, certain diseases such as anemia, autoimmune diseases, lifestyle changes such as stress, poor diet, smoking, lack of sleep, some medications, overtreatment of hair with chemical products, etc. There are two types of hair loss such as permanent hair loss and temporary hair loss. The symptoms of hair fall can be the thinning of hair on the scalp, patchy bald areas, full body hair loss, sudden loss of hair, broken hair, and signs of ringworm infection. The treatment for hair fall can be the management of underlying health conditions, medical treatments to increase hair growth, transplantation of hair, and lifestyle changes such as managing stress, consuming a healthy diet, and avoiding chemical products on hair.
