Graying Hair :
When hair loses its natural color and becomes gray, silver, or white due to the appearance of graying, it is a very common observation in many people of all kinds of ages. This is part of the process of aging because melanin is gradually reduced with growing age. Melanocytes are cells that produce melanin. The aging human produces lesser melanin from the melanocytes, which gives rise to gray or white color. Genetics can certainly play a very important role in when and how much hair will turn gray, as some people may turn gray very early, but some of them do not until rather late in life. While the most common reason for graying is aging, sometimes it can be attributed to stress, smoking, vitamin deficiencies, and even some disorders like thyroid. There is no proven method currently to reverse the aging process, though a healthy way of life would certainly promote general hair health. Most people choose to color their hair if they feel they need to hide grey hairs, while others accept the process as a normal aspect of aging.
