Gonorrhoea :
Gonorrhoea is a sexually transmitted disease which is caused by a bacterial infection. Sexually transmitted diseases are mainly spread through sexual contact of genitals and body fluids. Gonorrhoea infection is caused by a bacteria called Neisseria gonorrhoea. The symptoms of gonorrhoea can be seen in males pain during urination, swelling around testicles, pus discharge from the penis, pain in the testicle, and symptoms seen in females are vaginal discharge, pain during urination, vaginal bleeding in between periods, pelvic pain. Gonorrhea may affect the other parts of the body such as eyes, rectum, joints, and throat. The diagnostic tests advised to diagnose gonorrhoea are pelvic examination, urine tests, swab test from the throat, and a sample of fluid from the penis. The treatment methods to treat gonorrhoea are medications such as antibiotics and complications to be prevented. The preventive measures to control the spread of gonorrhoea are use of condoms, regular screening for sexually transmitted diseases, etc.
