Eczema :
Eczema is a type of dermatitis that causes the skin to become itchy, bumpy, and dry. Eczema is categorized into several types, such as atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, neurodermatitis, dyshidrotic eczema, nummular eczema, and seborrheic dermatitis. There is an increased risk of eczema in people with dermatitis, allergies, hay fever, asthma and a similar family history. Eczema induces symptoms such as dry skin, itchy skin, skin rash, bumps on the skin, thick, leathery patches of skin, flaky, scaly or crusty skin and swelling. Eczema usually appears on hands, neck, elbows, ankles, knees, feet, face, especially cheeks, in and around the ears and lips. The causative factors of eczema include immune system irritants, genetic factors, exposure to smoke, air pollutants, harsh soaps, fabrics like wool, some skin care products and emotional triggers. Eczema can be treated by using moisturizer regularly, taking medications to suppress symptoms, participating in light therapy, and avoiding triggers.
