Contact Lens :
Contact lenses are thin, round-shaped lenses that are used for clear vision. A contact lens is placed over the retina of the eye. Contact lenses are used in case of refractive errors like farsightedness, nearsightedness, astigmatism, and age-related farsightedness. There will be many types of contact lenses that are classified based on the material of the lens, the wearing schedule, the replacement schedule, and special features. Contact lenses are not advised in case of dry eye disease, allergies, recurrent eye infections, or working in dust and fumes. Contact lenses will be worn with much care by following some steps like washing hands, taking out the lens, putting on the index finger, holding the eyelids, and placing the lens. There will be complications associated with the use of contact lenses, like microbial keratitis, contact lens-induced acute red eye (CLARE), corneal abrasion, and giant papillary conjunctivitis (GPC).
