Complete heart block CHB :
Complete heart block is defined as the inability of electrical impulses from the heart to penetrate to the ventricles at a heartbeat and therefore leading to slow pulses or even non pulsing. Complete blockage causes dizziness and fainting in the patient as well as shortness of breath and tiredness. Chief causes for complete heart block are related to heart disease, aging, or damage caused to the heart due to myocardial infarction. Electrocardiogram is the diagnosis. Often the treatment requires a pacemaker to have implanted so that it can regulate the heartbeat and pump sufficiently through the body. Otherwise complete heart block poses a threat to life because it significantly diminishes the pumping ability of the heart.
