Acid peptic disease is described as a combination of disorders in which there is the production of acid by the stomach, which damages the digestive system is called acid peptic disease. The causes of acid peptic disease can be gastritis, peptic ulcers, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. The symptoms that are observed in acid peptic disease can be stomach pain, heartburn, bloating of the stomach, indigestion, stomach discomfort, nausea & vomiting. Diagnosis of acid peptic disease can be done through blood tests, endoscopy, and testing of stool samples. Acid peptic disease can be treated with medications, lifestyle changes, and having a balanced diet with more fiber and lean protein. The risk factors that increase the risk of acid peptic disease can be smoking, consuming alcohol, H.pylori infection, which is a bacterial infection, use of excess NSAIDS, and stress can also increase the onset of symptoms.
