Trop T :
Trop T-test is a blood test that is used to determine if the patient had a recent heart attack, which might have been a silent one or unnoticed, especially in patients who have uncontrolled blood sugars. A cardiologist might advise a trout t-test if the patient complains of recent chest pain or jaw pain to rule out coronary artery disease. Generally, troponin stays inside the heart muscle cells, but when damage occurs to the heart muscle cells, the troponin leaks into the blood. Most of the time, the troponin in the blood is so low that it is difficult to find troponin levels in the blood. Trop-T test is done by drawing a blood sample and placing it on a trop - t strip. If two stripes appear on the strip, then it is positive, and the patient had a recent heart attack, whereas a single strip indicates a negative. The normal range for tropnin levels are 0 - 004 ng/ml. Apart from Trop-t, a cardiologist might look for other symptoms before coming to a diagnosis. Once it is correlating, the cardiologist might advise further tests like ECG, echo, and coronary angiogram, followed by an intervention.
