Thyroid Problems :
Thyroid problems is also called as thyroid disease which is used to describe the diseases affecting the thyroid gland. When thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormones, it can lead to thyroid diseases such as hypothyroidism, and hyperthyroidism. There are also thyroid conditions due to hypothyroidism such as iodine deficiency, hashimoto's disease, congenital hypothyroidism, and conditions due to hyperthyroidism are thyroid nodules, grave's disease, excess iodine, etc.the symptoms of hyperthyroidism can be fast heart rate, unexplained weight loss, heat intolerance, sweaty skin, sleeping difficulties, irregular periods, anxiety, and symptoms of hypothyroidism can be dry skin, cold intolerance, slow hearty rate, unexplained weight gain, fatigue, heavy bleeding during periods, and depression, etc. The diagnosis of thyroid problems can be done through blood tests to detect thyroid hormones, thyroid ultrasound, nuclear medicine imaging. Management of thyroid diseases is done through medications, radioiodine therapy, and surgery.
