Melanoma :
Signs and symptoms are hyper pigmented spots on skin with irregular and asymmetrical borders, that is raised from the skin and can be felt when touched, which is growing in size over time. Along with the constitutional symptoms of carcinoma like loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, weight loss, fever, weakness, etc. Physical examination is alone enough to diagnose melanoma, skin biopsy test can be done for the confirmation. Treatment includes surgical excision of the effected area, if it is positive to spread and in severe cases therapies like immuno therapy, radiation, targeted therapy and chemotherapy are used.
