Irregular Periods :
When there is a delay in menstrual cycles, it leads to the occurrence of irregular periods. The regular menstrual cycle occurs every 28 days or 30 days or 35 days as it differs for every individual. The underlying causes of irregular periods can be polycystic ovary disease (PCOD) endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, primary ovarian insufficiency, bleeding diseases, thyroid diseases, and cancerous conditions in the uterus. The lifestyle factors that lead to irregular periods can be weight gain or weight loss which is sudden, stress, and other sicknesses. The diagnosis of irregular periods is done through pelvic ultrasound examination, hysteroscopy, and biopsy of endometrium.
