Gonorrhoea :
Gonorrhoea is a sexually transmitted disease which affects the rectum, genitals and throat part of the body. Gonorrhoea occurs due to the spread of a bacterium called Neisseria gonorrhoeae and is also termed as clap or drip. Gonorrhoea may or may not present with complains in all the cases. The symptoms of gonorrhoea in women are pain during sexual intercourse, unusual vaginal discharge (white or yellowish), bleeding between periods, pain or burning sensation while urinating and pain in the lower abdomen or pelvic region. The significant signs of gonorrhoea in men include swollen testicles and testicular pain, burning sensation or pain while urinating and white, green or yellow discharge from the penis. The common complains of both men and women with gonorrhoea include itchy feeling, itching near the anus, difficulty in swallowing, scratchiness and soreness in the throat and pain while passing stool. The management of gonorrhoea is done by prescribing antibiotics.
