Color Blindness :
Color blindness is a condition that makes one unable to see certain colors. In most cases, this condition is inherited and present since birth, but it can develop later in life. It occurs if specific nerve cells in the retina of the eyes do not function correctly. There are many different tests to diagnose color blindness. The most popular one is called the Ishihara test. It is used to identify red-green color blindness. It involves plates with patterns of dots or shapes, and some patterns are only visible to those without any defects in color vision. There is no cure for this condition if it is a genetic problem. However, color blindness can be resolved if it develops later in life if the underlying cause is treatable. Using color blindness glasses can improve deficiencies in color vision. But, they do not enable one to see any new colors.
