Angina
Angina commonly refers to chest pain or retro-sternal pain. The major cause of angina is insufficient blood supply to heart. This is due to partial or complete obstruction of major vessels that carry blood to the heart muscle. Angina is classified into 2 types stable angina and unstable angina. Stable angina is where the symptoms are minimal or absent during rest but aggravated by physical activity. Unstable angina is where symptoms remain same in rest as well as during an activity. Beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, blood thinner may help manage the case. Consult a cardiologist for better treatment options.
