Twin Pregnancy :
When there are two fetuses or babies growing in the womb, it is called a twin pregnancy. There are some signs of twin pregnancy noticed, such as fetal movements early, gaining weight quickly, fundal height being more than gestational age, high levels of hCG (pregnancy hormone), and more than one heartbeat in fetal Doppler. The symptoms that are seen during twin pregnancy can be the same as with single pregnancy, such as frequent urination, fatigue, increased hunger, breast tenderness, and morning sickness. Twin pregnancy is confirmed through a prenatal ultrasound scan. There are two different types of twins such as identical twins and fraternal twins. The chances of getting a twin pregnancy are family history, age more than 35 years of age, fertility treatments, previous twin pregnancy, and obesity. The full term for a twin pregnancy is 37 weeks. In a twin pregnancy, labor will be sooner, and there are some treatments that prevent preterm labor but not always successful.
