Otomycosis :
Otomycosis refers to fungal ear infections that usually involve the ear canal. The symptoms of Otomycosis are earache, discoloration of the outer ear or ear canal, intense itching, flaky skin around the ear canal, pain in the ear, headache, inflammation, discharge in the colors yellow, green, black, white or gray, tinnitus, a feeling of fullness in the ears, hearing loss, dizziness, fever and severe ear pain. Otomycosis is caused by funguses commonly Aspergillus and Candida. Otomycosis is more likely to be seen in people who do SCUBA diving, swim, waterski and participate in other water sports, those who use cotton swabs or hair pins to clean the ear wax, with weakened immune system and ear eczema and those who have ear injuries and trauma. Otomycosis is treated by cleaning the ears and prescribing medications, ear drops, creams, and ointments.
