Oily Hair :
Oily hair is known as greasy hair. The cause of oily hair is due to overproduction of natural oil called as sebum. Sebum is produced by the sebaceous glands that are present in the scalp. The other causes of oily hair are excess use of styling hair creams and heated instruments, hormonal imbalances, excess washing or over washing of scalp and hair, eating unhealthy diet, touching hair frequently, humid climate can increase the production of oil, and health conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis can also leads to oily hair. There are few measures to control the oily hair such as avoiding frequent washing of scalp and hair, use a mild shampoo to remove the dirt or product buildup, application of hair conditioner only to the strands of hair and avoid to the hair roots, avoid over brushing of hair, eating a healthy and balanced diet, control frequent touching of hair.
