Proteinuria :

Proteinuria is a condition in which levels of protein are elevated in urine, which is sign of kidney damage. It is said that if you have more than 150 milligrams of protein in urine, it is considered proteinuria. There is an increased risk of proteinuria in adults aged above sixty five years, those with a similar family history, diabetic people, and people suffering from kidney diseases. The symptoms of proteinuria are tiredness, nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite, muscle cramping at night, swelling in face, belly, feet or ankles, puffiness around eyes, foamy urine, frequent urination, lack of appetite and shortness of breath. One should visit a doctor if they observe these symptoms. Proteinuria is caused by conditions like dehydration, inflammation, kidney stones, low blood pressure, immune disorders like lupus and Good Pasture's syndrome, glomerulonephritis, multiple myeloma, intravascular hemolysis, cardiovascular disease, trauma and congestive heart failure.
