Chickenpox :
Chickenpox can be described as a highly contagious viral disease that can affect the skin. Chickenpox can be caused by a virus called Varicella-Zoster virus. These days, the occurrence of chickenpox has become less common as there is a vaccine already developed for its prevention. It can be observed among the children and also in adults. The symptoms that can be observed when there is chickenpox includes tiredness, skin rashes causing itching, headache, fever, blotchy skin, bumpy areas with accumulation of fluid in it, stomach pain, crusty spots. The diagnosis of chickenpox can be made through blood tests and tissue samples for confirmation. Management for chickenpox can be made through plenty of rest, placing a moist cloth over the rashes, consuming lots of fluids, applying lotions over the rash, the child should not scratch the rashes, cool bath or shower daily, feeding a bland food. The recovery from chickenpox usually takes 1-2 weeks.
