A Paediatric CT Surgeon is a medical doctor who primarily deals with conditions associated with organs such as the heart, lungs, and other chest organs of children and infants. To pursue a career as a pediatric CT surgeon, it is mandatory to finish five and a half years of an MBBS degree, and pursue post-graduation (MS) in General Surgery, followed by a super specialization in Cardio Thoracic Surgery, and an additional sub-specialization degree in Pediatric CT Surgery is needed. The common types of diseases handled by a Paediatric CT surgeon include congenital heart defects, including transposition of great arteries, hypoplastic left heart syndrome, tetralogy of Fallot, atrial and ventricular septal defects, coarctation of the aorta, atrioventricular canal and other valve problems, holes in the heart, and heart injuries.
