What is LASIK Surgery?
Lasik laser eye surgery is a corrective procedure to treat vision problems such as near and farsightedness. Lasik is performed by a trained ophthalmologist and is wrapped up in under half an hour. It is a simple procedure where the eye specialist positions your head flat on the surgical table. They then anesthetize the eyes using some numbing drops. Your focus should be on a point of light in front of you to avoid any undue movement during the procedure. Then a specialized blade or a laser is used to create a flap in the cornea of the eye. The cornea is now reshaped with the help of a laser. Opened flap is closed and an eye patch is placed post surgery. The recovery is short and simple post surgery.
