E C G / Electrocardiogram :
ECG / Electrocardiogram is a diagnostic test procedure that is commonly done to detect any abnormalities that are observed in the functioning of the heart. ECG is a non-invasive diagnostic test for the detection of the heart rate amd the rhythm of the heart. In the ECG procedure, the electrodes are used, which are placed upon the chest, arms, and legs, allowing for the recording of the activity of electrical signals that are generated by the heart through the heartbeat. It can also help identify any previous heart attacks, irregular heart rate, and the cause of severe chest pain. ECG will be advised when there is a faster heartbeat, lightheadedness, chest pain, weakness, breathlessness, or fatigue. There are many types of ECG, such as resting ECG, ambulatory ECG, and stress test ECG. ECG can be performed for monitoring the function of a pacemaker, to analyse the functioning of the heart post surgery, to monitor how the medications are working in case of heart diseases. ECG will be a quick and painless procedure.
