Blepharoplasty :
Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic surgical and corrective procedure of the eyelid. It elevates the appearance of the eyelids by removing excess skin, muscular and fat tissue. Patients with underlying diseases like glaucoma, dry eyes or retinal detachment, diabetes, hypertension, and other heart diseases are recommended to discuss in detail with the ophthalmologist prior to opting for the surgery. It is usually performed in patients of 30 to 40 age groups with no underlying health conditions to optimize the result of blepharoplasty. This procedure does not treat wrinkles, fine lines or baggy eyes. Some of the risks associated with blepharoplasty are infection, discoloration of eyelids, scarring or inability to close eyelids. Blepharoplasty causes minimal pain and discomfort after the procedure, which resolves in a couple of days.
